Dimgonglung Rongmei is the Founding Director of Tazei Foundation, an education reformer, and a seasoned development practitioner with over 25 years of experience in transforming education, strengthening institutions, and empowering Indigenous and rural communities across Northeast India. Guided by the belief that the primary purpose of education is to develop good human beings, he pioneered the Tazei Education Model, integrating constitutional values, character formation, experiential learning, Indigenous knowledge, mathematics and science, leadership, sports, and innovation. He provides strategic leadership to the Foundation, advancing holistic education alongside entrepreneurship, health, climate action, and community stewardship. His vision is to build ethical, compassionate, and future-ready citizens while fostering resilient communities, sustainable institutions, and inclusive development for a stronger and more prosperous India.
Mathiukhin Kamei
Managing Director
Mathiukhin Kamei is an educator, leadership mentor, rural development entrepreneur, and motivational speaker committed to transforming underserved communities through quality education and sustainable development. In 2019, he served as a mentor to young Civil Services (IAS) aspirants at Shalom Hostel, Outram Lines, New Delhi, guiding students in leadership, character formation, and academic excellence. He later served as the Principal of Ebenezar Academy, Ramgaizang, Cachar, Assam, 2020 where he strengthened educational standards and institutional development. In 2022, he founded Tazei Foundation and currently serves as its Managing Director. Under his leadership, the Foundation promotes rural education, entrepreneurship, livelihood development, youth empowerment, and community transformation. Through his inspiring public speaking and visionary leadership, continues to inclusive growth, empowering rural communities with knowledge, opportunity, and hope for a sustainable future.
Jaojian Kamang Gangmei
Board Chairman
Jaojian Kamang Gangmei is a Board Member of Tazei Foundation, contributing to the Foundation’s strategic direction and governance. He supports the Foundation in advancing its mission of empowering communities through education, entrepreneurship, health, and climate action. He is committed to strengthening institutional partnerships, promoting sustainable development initiatives, and ensuring that the Foundation’s programs create meaningful and lasting impact. With a collaborative approach and a strong dedication to community development, Jaojian plays an important role in guiding Tazei Foundation’s efforts to build resilient communities and expand opportunities for underserved populations across Northeast India.
