They had never been economic activities in nature but rather been indispensable activities to carry on life independently. Each and every article required by a household for furthering other activities of life was manufactured by family itself. These aspects of handicraft were in practice when people’s economy was confined to jhum culture. Cane and Bamboo handicrafts include Rice baskets, Hollow baskets, Rice Winnowing Plates, Drying plates, House wall of various pattern, carpet or Mat, Head belt for basket, Warriors amour, Seasoned rope, Poultry cages, Rice and Curry ladle etc.
